Ingredients:
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream, chilled
- 1 cup whole milk, chilled
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp pure vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp fine sea salt
Instructions:
- Combine the chilled heavy cream, whole milk, and sugar in a mixing bowl. Whisk vigorously until the sugar grains have completely dissolved and the mixture looks uniform. Stir in the vanilla extract and salt.
- Pour the mixture into your frozen ice cream maker canister. Turn the machine on and allow it to churn until the mixture reaches a soft-serve consistency, typically when it looks thick and holds a soft peak.
- Transfer the churned ice cream into an airtight freezer-safe container. Press a piece of parchment paper or plastic wrap directly onto the surface of the ice cream to prevent ice crystals from forming.
- Freeze for at least 4 hours, or until firm.
