Ingredients:

  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream, chilled
  • 1 cup whole milk, chilled
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp fine sea salt
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup crushed roasted peanuts
  • 1 cup fresh berries, diced

Instructions:

  1. Combine the chilled heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, and salt in a large mixing bowl. Whisk vigorously for 2-3 minutes until the sugar crystals have completely dissolved.
  2. Stir in the vanilla extract last to preserve its aromatic potency until the mixture is smooth and uniform.
  3. Pour the liquid base into your pre-frozen automatic ice cream maker canister. Turn the machine on and allow it to churn until it reaches a soft-serve consistency (mixture should double in volume).
  4. Toss in the chocolate chips, crushed peanuts, and diced berries during the final 2 minutes of churning to ensure even distribution.
  5. Transfer the churned ice cream into a freezer-safe container. Smooth the top with a spatula and press parchment paper or plastic wrap directly onto the surface to prevent ice crystals.
  6. Freeze for at least 4 hours, or until the dessert is firm enough to scoop.
