Ingredients:
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream, chilled
- 1 cup whole milk, chilled
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp pure vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp fine sea salt
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup crushed roasted peanuts
- 1 cup fresh berries, diced
Instructions:
- Combine the chilled heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, and salt in a large mixing bowl. Whisk vigorously for 2-3 minutes until the sugar crystals have completely dissolved.
- Stir in the vanilla extract last to preserve its aromatic potency until the mixture is smooth and uniform.
- Pour the liquid base into your pre-frozen automatic ice cream maker canister. Turn the machine on and allow it to churn until it reaches a soft-serve consistency (mixture should double in volume).
- Toss in the chocolate chips, crushed peanuts, and diced berries during the final 2 minutes of churning to ensure even distribution.
- Transfer the churned ice cream into a freezer-safe container. Smooth the top with a spatula and press parchment paper or plastic wrap directly onto the surface to prevent ice crystals.
- Freeze for at least 4 hours, or until the dessert is firm enough to scoop.
