Ingredients:

  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp fine sea salt

Instructions:

  1. Combine the whole milk, granulated sugar, and salt in a large bowl. Whisk vigorously for 1-2 minutes until the sugar crystals have completely disappeared.
  2. Stir in the heavy whipping cream and vanilla extract.
  3. Place the mixture in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to chill thoroughly.
  4. Turn on your ice cream maker and pour the chilled liquid into the pre-frozen canister.
  5. Churn according to manufacturer's directions, usually between 20 to 30 minutes, until the mixture reaches a thick, soft-serve consistency.
  6. Transfer the churned ice cream into an airtight freezer-safe container and smooth the top with a spatula.
  7. Press a piece of plastic wrap directly onto the surface of the ice cream and freeze for at least 4 hours or overnight until firm.
