Ingredients:
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp fine sea salt
Instructions:
- Combine the whole milk, granulated sugar, and salt in a large bowl. Whisk vigorously for 1-2 minutes until the sugar crystals have completely disappeared.
- Stir in the heavy whipping cream and vanilla extract.
- Place the mixture in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to chill thoroughly.
- Turn on your ice cream maker and pour the chilled liquid into the pre-frozen canister.
- Churn according to manufacturer's directions, usually between 20 to 30 minutes, until the mixture reaches a thick, soft-serve consistency.
- Transfer the churned ice cream into an airtight freezer-safe container and smooth the top with a spatula.
- Press a piece of plastic wrap directly onto the surface of the ice cream and freeze for at least 4 hours or overnight until firm.
