Ingredients:
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream, chilled
- 1 cup whole milk, chilled
- 3/4 cup granulated white sugar
- 1 tbsp pure vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp fine sea salt
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup crushed toasted pecans
- 1/4 cup rainbow sprinkles
Instructions:
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar and fine sea salt until they begin to dissolve into the whole milk.
- Slowly stir in the chilled heavy whipping cream and vanilla extract. Whisk vigorously for 2 minutes until the sugar is completely dissolved and the mixture is smooth.
- Refrigerate the mixture for 1 hour before churning to ensure the base is as cold as possible.
- Pour the chilled mixture into your pre-frozen ice cream maker canister.
- Turn the machine on and churn according to the manufacturer's directions, typically for 20–30 minutes, until the ice cream reaches a soft-serve consistency.
- During the final 5 minutes of churning, fold in the chocolate chips, toasted pecans, and sprinkles.
- Scoop the soft ice cream into a freezer-safe container and press parchment paper or plastic wrap directly onto the surface to prevent freezer burn.
- Freeze until fully set.
