Ingredients:

  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream, chilled
  • 1 cup whole milk, chilled
  • 3/4 cup granulated white sugar
  • 1 tbsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp fine sea salt
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup crushed toasted pecans
  • 1/4 cup rainbow sprinkles

Instructions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar and fine sea salt until they begin to dissolve into the whole milk.
  2. Slowly stir in the chilled heavy whipping cream and vanilla extract. Whisk vigorously for 2 minutes until the sugar is completely dissolved and the mixture is smooth.
  3. Refrigerate the mixture for 1 hour before churning to ensure the base is as cold as possible.
  4. Pour the chilled mixture into your pre-frozen ice cream maker canister.
  5. Turn the machine on and churn according to the manufacturer's directions, typically for 20–30 minutes, until the ice cream reaches a soft-serve consistency.
  6. During the final 5 minutes of churning, fold in the chocolate chips, toasted pecans, and sprinkles.
  7. Scoop the soft ice cream into a freezer-safe container and press parchment paper or plastic wrap directly onto the surface to prevent freezer burn.
  8. Freeze until fully set.
