Ingredients:
- 1 cup (227g) unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
- 1/4 tsp (1.5g) fine sea salt
- 3 cups (360g) powdered sugar, sifted
- 1 tbsp (15ml) heavy cream, room temperature
- 2 tsp (10ml) vanilla bean paste or pure vanilla extract
Instructions:
- Beat the softened butter and salt on medium-high speed for 3–5 minutes until the mixture transforms to a pale ivory color and feels light and fluffy.
- Turn the mixer to low speed and add the sifted powdered sugar one cup at a time. Once incorporated, increase speed to medium-high for 2 minutes until a smooth paste forms.
- Add the heavy cream and vanilla bean paste. Beat on medium speed for 60 seconds until the frosting reaches a silky, glossy consistency.
